World Physiotherapy Day & World Muscular Dystrophy Day Celebrated
On 8th September 2025, the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Varanasi, under Pt. DDU National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan), New Delhi, and functioning under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, successfully organized a special event to observe World Physiotherapy Day and World Muscular Dystrophy Day.
Held at Patanava Village, Cholapur Block, Chandauli, the program aimed to highlight the importance of physiotherapy in healthcare and rehabilitation, and to spread awareness about muscular dystrophy and its impact.
The event featured interactive sessions, physiotherapy awareness demonstrations, and community outreach initiatives. It brought together healthcare professionals, persons with disabilities, local stakeholders, and community members to promote health, empowerment, and inclusion.
This celebration reinforced CRC Varanasi’s ongoing mission to extend essential rehabilitation services and promote inclusive practices in underserved regions.
